In Saint Lucia, an oath ceremony involves taking an Oath or Affirmation of Allegiance to formally acquire citizenship (either through investment, marriage, or naturalization). You do not have to travel to Saint Lucia to do this; it can be signed or administered remotely via video link before an authorized professional like an attorney, notary, or high commissioner

Every successful applicant approved under citizenship by investment program must take and sign the Oath of Allegiance before one of the following:

  • Attorney-at-Law
  • Consular Officer of Saint Lucia
  • Honorary Consul of Saint Lucia
  • Notary Royal
  • Notary Public

The citizenship granted is not final until Oath (swearing in) ceremony is completed. Once signed, the oath document is returned to the Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU). They will then issue your Certificate of Citizenship and facilitate the processing of your St. Lucian passport.
