History
- Legend – Legend states that French sailors were shipwrecked on the island on 13 December, the feast day of St. Lucy, and therefore named the island in her honour.

Festivals
St Lucia hosts World famous biggest Carnival and Jazz festivals every year. The Saint Lucia Carnival is the island’s largest cultural celebration. Taxation
Saint Lucia levies No wealth tax, inheritance tax, estate tax, gift tax and most importantly no tax on worldwide income for individuals who are not tax resident. Dividend income is generally tax exempt. No capital gains tax on most capital gains outside ordinary business activities.
